Locusts & Honey is the duo of Calum Builder and pianist Matt Choboter.

Recorded in Sankt Augustines Kirke in the middle of winter, the album carries the coldness and resonance of the room. Across nine improvisations, saxophone and piano move through fragile fragments with sudden density and suspended meditative tones.

The music sits between improvised music and contemporary chamber practice, but the centre of the record is simpler than that: two long time collaborators, in a large stone church, letting each gesture hang in the air longer than expected.
